DEGREES

Bachelor of Christian Education (B.C.E.) & Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.)

The Bachelor Degree is an undergraduate degree designed for persons who do no possess the collegiate requirements for pursuing the Master Degree.

The Bachelor Degree normally involves a four-year course of study. Under certain conditions it may be advisable, however, to allow five years for study and completion of degree requirements. Special arrangements need to be discussed with the Admissions Committee.

To be admitted to study, a student must be a high school graduate or possess an equivalency. A student who is not a high school graduate may be permitted to enroll in the program of study; however, before the degree is awarded, he must satisfy this J requirement through the attainment of a high school equivalency, or have reached the age of 21 years old.

The curriculum is organized according to eight general areas of study. (I) Biblical Studies, (2) Church History, (3) Theological, Philosophical & Ethical Studies, (4) The Practice of Ministry, (5) Christian Education, (6) Psychology & Counseling, (7) Sociology of Religion and (8) Church in Global Context.


Master of Christian Education (M.C.E.) & Master of Divinity (M.Div.)

The Master Degree is a graduate degree designed for persons who plan to engage in the church’s teaching ministry & theological studies.

The Master Degree normally involves a two-year course of study. Under certain conditions it may be advisable, however, to allow three or four years for study and completion of degree requirements. To be admitted to study, a student must possess a Bachelor Degree or its equivalent.

Each candidate for the Master Degree must write and present a satisfactory critical essay during the senior year. The senior paper carries two semester credit hours. The student’s topic must be approved by his advisor and the Dean before the first Thursday in November. The first draft of the essay must be submitted by the student to the advisor before the first day of the second semester, the final draft before the first Thursday in April. The approved final draft of the essay must be submitted to the Dean of Academic Affairs by the Advisor no later than the third Thursday in April.


Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.)

This Doctorate Degree is a graduate Professional Degree with a concentration on the aspects of ministry to include concentrations applied theology evangelism, Pas Counseling, Homeletics, spiritual form, church growth, church leadership and apologetics.

Doctor of Christian Education (D.C.E.) & Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)

The Doctor Degree is a graduate Professional Degree in the practice of Ministry as distinguish from the academic or research degree.

The Doctor Degree is a professional degree which is designed to provide the student with the opportunity to achieve a higher level of competency in the practice of ministry. The Doctor Degree program constitutes a minimum of one additional year beyond the Master Degree. Persons seeking admission must possess the Bachelor of Arts degree or its equivalent and the Master Degree or equivalent theological preparation.
